Ginza Rabbah

Quran and Ginza Rabbah The Quran is considered to be the word of God as revealed through the Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century. Ginza Rabbah, on the other hand, is a collection of religious texts from the Mandaean religion. It is written in the Aramaic language, which is a Semitic language that was widely spoken in ancient times in the Middle East. The date of publication of Ginza Rabbah is unknown , but it is believed to have been written at some point after the Quran. The oldest known manuscript of Ginza Rabbah is believed to date back to the 14th century . However, it is believed that the text itself is much older, possibly dating back to the 1st or 2nd century CE. The Ginza Rabbah is considered to be a collection of religious texts that were passed down orally for many generations before eventually being written down . The 14th century manuscript is therefore considered to be a copy of an earlier version of the text. It's worth noting that the existence of a 14th century ma

Syriac Sources Claim [Refuted]

Are there any pre-Islamic Syriac-Christian presence in Makkah and Madīnah, as Luxenberg attempts to demonstrate? No, absence of prevalent Syriac-Christian materials in Hijāz, let alone Makkah and Madīna. And Luxenberg copes and says (paraphrasing), "Well, must be some kind of hybrid between Arabic and Syriac". No, “Arabic-Syriac” hybrid is not found anywhere from the 5th Century and onwards to the Islamic period. And Luxenburg copes again and says, "Well, they just forgot Syriac and then leaped into Classical Arabic as we know it today". Do you know how ridiculous it sounds? How much cope does it require to say this? The Arabs, in the time of the Prophet (ﷺ), forgot the Syriac language and leaped into Classical Arabic, which means the Arabs experienced a mass loss of memory that plagued them, like the same Saḥaba at the time would know the Syriac language, and then they forgot it, and somehow was reworded into Arabic? What kind of linguistic gymnastics is this? You

Isa and Yasu Nasrani of Mark 1:24

Ἰησοῦ Ναζαρηνέ in Mark 1:24 is pronounced as Iēsou Nazarene. 'Jeshu' and 'Issa', which are entirely different names in their original Arabic. Jesus (pronounced /'dzi:zǝs/) is a transliteration based on the Latin lesus originating in the Greek Inooûç (lēsoûs), itself a Hellenisation of the Hebrew Yēšûǎ' or Hebrew-Aramaic Yěhōšuǎ', meaning Yahweh delivers or Yahweh rescues. The Arabic form of this name is for which the transliteration is yisü'. ‘Īsā is based on an entirely different root, one common to the Hebrew name Esau (pronounced /'i:s:/) (Hebrew Esav, Tiberian Hebrew 'Ēśaw; Greek: Hoau). Esau is a Hebrew male name best known as that of the fraternal twin of Jacob / Yaqub the patriarch. Mark 1:24 24 λέγων, Τί ἡμῖν καὶ σοί, Ἰησοῦ Ναζαρηνέ ; ἦλθες ἀπολέσαι ἡμᾶς;c οἶδά σε τίς εἶ, ὁ ἅγιος τοῦ θεοῦ Iēsou Nazarene = Yasu Nasraniy = Jesus the Nazarene / Jesus of Nazareth Ἰησοῦ Ναζαρηνέ means يسوع الناصري in Arabic. Nazarene (or Nazorean ) is the name for an early Jewish Christian sect in first-century Judaism, led by Paul (Saul of Tarsus) The first use of the term is found in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 24:5) of the New Testament, where Paul the Apostle is accused of being a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes ("πρωτοστάτην τε τῆς τῶν Ναζωραίων αἱρέσεως"). Acts 24:5 "For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes." The Quran clarifi

Yahud and Huda

Image
The root word of Yahūd, "h-w-d", has the basic meaning of "lenient" or "consideration" and is used to form other words related to leniency and consideration in faith, the name of the Prophet Hūd also comes from the same root and is known as the lenient Prophet. Therefore, Yahūdiyūn can be translated as "the ones who are lenient", Yahūd can be translated as "the one who is lenient" or "the one who is considerate" in faith, while Hūd can be translated as the "Lenient" or "Considerate", therefore the word Yahūd likely refers to those who followed the doctrine preached by Prophet Hūd, a doctrine of leniency or consideration, while Al Yahūd is the one who self-proclaims to be a follower of such doctrine. Alladhīna Hādū can be translated as "those who hold to leniency" or "those who hold to consideration", i.e. doctrine of leniency or consideration of Prophet Hūd. Hans Wehr lexicon, Page 121

Quran 3:52 says that the disciples of Īsa were God's helpers (Ansar/Ansarullah). The word "Ansar" is derived from the Arabic root word "nasara&q

Bani Isra'il

Isrā’īl: Yaʿqub and Isrā’īl are the same person in the Hebrew scriptures yet no such claim is made in the Qur’an. Claim that Qur’an maintains that Banī Isrā’īl are descended from one man (Isrā’īl) formed by analogy from how the names of other tribes are formed (i.e. on the name of their founding father) — see 19:58 where Isrā’īl is named: Those are they whom God favoured among the prophets of the progeny of Adam, and of those We bore with Noah, and of the progeny of Abraham and Israel ¹ , and of those We guided and chose. (3:59) "The Word" is literally God's utterance "Be thou". This is held out by the Bible where thirteen verses later in John 1:14 we read: "And the Word was made flesh". In the Qur'an, we read: "The likeness of Jesus in the sight of God is as the likeness of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: 'Be thou', and he was." And when thy Lord brought forth from the children of Adam, from their backs, their progeny, and made them bear witness as to thems
